Real Madrid, Barcelona Race for Liga

Who the 2006/07 League Champion is in Spain is still up for grabs on the last weekend of the season. Real Madrid play at home in the capital against Mallorca and last year's Champion's League winners, Barcelona are away to Nastic, a neighbouring relegated Catalan club. Real Madrid just needs a win to guarantee the league championship.

What makes this weekend even more exciting is the fact Real Madrid tied their match last weekend in the 89th minute and Barcelona, who was in the lead with Espanyol, received a goal 18 seconds later in their match, to also draw 2-2 at home in the camp nou in the last couple minutes of play. That was the setting last weekend that launched the fever into overdrive in Spain this past week.

Read the excitement from last weekend from ESPN's report on the 18 seconds in Spain.
