Conserve Socket: Eco-friendly Gadget With Timer to Prevent Wastage of Energy

These days it’s not uncommon for a person to carry at least one gadget with them at all times. Sometimes you’ll carry more than one, depending on your needs. In order for these devices to keep pace with you, they need to be charged for a few hours. But how often do you charge them for the exact amount of time necessary? Well, when you leave them on the charger for hours after they’ve received a full charge, you’re wasting electricity. How do you prevent this? By getting a wall outlet that cuts off power after a certain amount of time.

The Conserve Socket is a simple eco-friendly gadget that ensures you waste as little power as necessary when charging your gadgets. On the side you’ll find a switch that reads 30 minutes, 3 hours and 6 hours. Just set it to the appropriate time, and plug in your gadget. Once the timer is up, the socket will cut power to your device. This can also be used for other home electronics, such as lights, fans, heaters and more. Saving electricity doesn’t come at a high price, as this device will only set you back $10.

Pi Clock: Pure Mathematical Wall Clock - - Certainly Not For You if You're Not Good In Math

If you need a constant reminder of your inability to do math, then you’re going to want to get a hold of the Pi Clock. The Pi Clock is a wall clock that tells time using Pi, the mathematical constant that has been known to infuriate and befuddle math students the world over.

We have featured math-inspired clocks on Trend Hunter before, but none of them were as advanced as the Pi Clock. For example: 11 o’clock has now become 11 Pi divided by 6. Good luck trying to figure that one out without a calculator or a math degree.

The Pi Clock was designed by an as-of-yet unknown Flickr-user going by the name of Laughing Easy. The Pi Clock is getting tons of buzz around the Internet, so I wouldn’t expect Laughing Easy to stay anonymous for long. It won’t be long before every math class has its own Pi Clock.

Automower 305 From Husqvarna - - Robotic Grass Mower to Ease You Up in This Autumn

We are still on the last bit of winter, but soon will come the time to keep up with your yard. Though we don’t mind the exercise, (or sometimes we do) mowing the yard can be quite the task if it’s insanely hot outside.

Husqvarna is known for their lawn and garden care product, but their newest offer makes the future of robots doing all out work a reality. I’ve seen robots that sweep floors, and clean windows, but now we have the Automower 305 which lifts the burden of mowing the land manually. Though it only runs about 35 centimeters a second, and can only go for about 40 minutes, this little guy is sure to help cut your mowing time in half. Though it can cover 500 meters of grass for you, it’ll cost $2000, and likely routine cleaning to keep it in optimal condition.

The Maria Westerberg T-shirt Chair isn’t just visually appealing, its very being creates a personal story considering the materials used.

Customize Your Timepiece As You Want With DOTKLOK Kit

Clocks are interesting pieces of technology. They have been around in one form or another for centuries, and their primary function has changed very little. However, everything else about them is very different. From the parts used, the extra features to even the way they are read, they are nothing like their much older brethren. Want to play your own part in the evolution of the timepiece? You can, in a small way with this Arduino-based DOTKLOK.

This clock was designed with modding in mind. In fact, it comes in a kit, so that you have to assemble it before the thing will even work. Once you’ve put it together, the Arduino is programmed to not only keep track of time, but lets you play games like Pong, Tetris and Pacman, along with having various unique patterns to display the present time. Being an open-source kit, you can take your programming skills and tell it to do any number of other things that suit your fancy. A kit like this doesn’t come cheap though, it rings in at $150.

Romin Heide has a new line of household products called ‘Undefined Objects.’

Romin Heide took a unique approach when it came to designing his line of appliances. Rather than giving them a specific purpose, Heide feels that the user should define how the objects are used. With that freedom, he believes that it creates a special relationship between man and object. While the products from ‘Undefined Objects’ may look simple, Roman Heide has put a lot of thought behind its inception.

Gyro Bowl: BPH-free Plastic Bowl With Handles - - Will Not Let Anything Spillout

How many times have you had a bowl of…anything, and spilled it? No matter what we do, or how hard we try, food is just not content to keep itself contained in a dish. However, with the Gyro Bowl, this problem magically disappears.

This BPH-free plastic bowl with handles has an inner bowl that rotates 360 degrees. You literally cannot spill anything because it will counter whatever mess-inducing movement you make. The design makes sure that the open part of the bowl is at the top, and stays that way. It is a combination of some happy bright colors and even though it’s likely aimed at food for toddlers, it would be useful for pretty much anything you want to put in it. It comes with a fresh-lock lid so its usefulness can increase by ten. To add on top of that, it’s also top-rack dishwasher safe, so it won’t be a nightmare to clean. Best of all, the $15 price tag (for a pair of bowls) won’t break the bank.
