There's no doubt which artist has come up on top this year. She's loud-mouthed, brightly coloured and kinda crazy but that's what we absolutely love about her. Hailing from Trinidad and Queens, New York, this 25-year-old has undoubtedly broken out into the music mainstream in a mighty way.
Unlike many new artists coming up, Nicki's rise to fame has been through her guest appearances on tracks of more recognised artists such as Usher and Christina Aguilera. Her lyrics are sexual, sassy and ruthless, earning her reputation as one of the best rappers in the game today.
Finally, Nicki has released her own LP titled 'Pink Friday' showcasing her personal Hip Hop musical style. The album has already broke records becoming the biggest selling debut album from a female rapper since Lil Kim in 2002. This woman can't be stopped!

TINIE TEMPAH
No doubt the biggest UK artist of the year, Tinie Tempah has definitely made his mark on 2010. Still only 22 years old, Tinie has been on the music circuit for a few years on the underground scene before gaining mega commercial success after releasing 'Pass Out' (produced by Labrinth) at the beginning of the year. As soon as this reached Number 1 everyone wanted a piece of Tinie.
Since then he has had a second Number 1 this Autumn as well as a Platinum selling debut album 'Disc-overy' which boast collaborations from Kelly Rowland and Ellie Goulding. The South London MC is riding high at the moment and it looks like his music success will only strengthen next year.
